DMT Development Systems Group Inc. has added to its trove of international awards with the receipt in August of a ‘Silver Stevie’ International Business Award by Honda Motor Europe Ltd.
The recognition was awarded to Honda Europe for a sophisticated, multi-language on-line newsroom created by DMT. It is the second time a DMT-designed system has won a prestigious International Business Award.
The portal, hondanews.eu, provides the latest news with images, video, and press ‘kits’ of information to keep the media outlets up-to-date with Honda’s automobile, motorcycle, motorsports activities as well as corporate news all delivered in 16 languages via 12 country-specific sites.
John Kingston, Head of Public Relations, Honda Motor Europe commented, “With Honda launching a wealth of new products in 2015, it was imperative that our media website was best in class to enable us to share information with key media across Europe. Winning this award is testament to what we’ve achieved.”
“Keeping pace with the demand for information is very difficult for manufacturers,” explains Glen Demetrioff, president of DMT, “so committing to a leadership role and establishing the high standards set by Honda Motor Europe speaks volumes about the company’s understanding of the importance of innovation in communications.”
The site was launched at the Geneva international auto show earlier this year and is the latest and most complex evolution of DMT’s world-leading expertise in media information systems for the auto industry.
Press information, images, video and all manner of data can be browsed on the sites and easily downloaded into a ‘basket’ that delivers a single convenient zip file to the user. Information is pan-European or market-specific, depending on the needs of the journalist, and can be delivered in the user’s preferred language.
Visitors to the sites can also quickly and easily share content via their social media platforms, even having the option of embedding Honda videos. The European and country specific sites have a consistent look and feel and offer an increased opportunity for customization of news alerts.
